Year 6 Parliament Visit
Our year 6 pupils had a fantastic opportunity visiting the Houses of Parliament this week. Yunus, Daisy and Betsy had the pleasure of walking in the footsteps of our MPs, touring the House of Commons and listening to the Defence Secretary John Healy debate Russian Maritime Activity.
It was a great experience to watch the live debates from the green gallery pews, before it was their turn to hold a debate in a Parliament workshop. We were also fortunate to visit Westminster Hall, where Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II lie in state, along with whistle stop tours of Trafalgar Square, Big Ben, 10 Downing Street and no London tour is complete without a visit to the M&M and Lego shop.
