Compliments & Complaints

How to let School know if you have any Comments or Compliments?

It is always good to receive positive feedback.   This can be given verbally or in writintg to the School Office.  It is encouraging to hear when situations go well and are appreciated and your comments will always be shared with staff and pupils where appropriate.     This is also an opportunity to give compliments through any school questionnaires or Parent View.  For further details please see here.

Who to Contact if you Have a Concern or Complaint?

At Townfield we want not only your child/children to be happy, but also parents & carers.  If you have any queries or concerns whatsoever, please do not hesitate to raise these in the first instance with your child's teacher.  For information regarding who to speak to, please see our "Contact Us" page.

In the unlikely event that after speaking to the appropriate head of key stage, you feel you still have not received a resolution to your concern, please e-mail Mrs McDowell in the school office (tps-clerk-to-lac@remat.org.uk) setting out full details of your concerns, who you have spoken to and your expected resolution, together with any other information which may assist us in investigating your concerns.     School will acknowledge receipt of your complaint and our Headteacher or Assistant Head will endeavour to contact you as soon as possible to discuss;  you will receive a response to your complaint no later than 10 working days following receipt of full details, in line with the Department for Education guidelines.   For your information a copy of our Complaints Procedure Policy can be found below.

If you are unsure who to direct your query to in the first instance please contact Mrs McDowell in the School Office, who will be happy to assist you.

Meeting Requests with the Headteacher & Deputy Headteacher

Please note requests for a meeting with the Headteacher or Deputy Headteacher are by appointment only and should only be requested, once the above procedures have already been followed (e.g. meeting/discussion with class teacher, then head of key stage, etc).
